Educators collaborating with Educators

David Dodson has been active for thirty-five years in the teaching, management, and formation of new businesses. After graduating from Stanford Graduate School of Business, he joined the teaching staff, working for H.I. Grousbeck, the co-founder of the school’s Center for Entrepreneurial Studies.

In 1989, David left Stanford to pursue an entrepreneurial career. During that time, he was the CEO of five businesses, and has been a director of over 25 public and private companies.

In 2000 Dodson co-founded Sanku, which invented the only successful technology to fortify grains in rural mills. The innovative technology has received recognition such as Time Best Inventions, and IoT Evolution Product of the Year. Sanku’s technology has saved and improved the lives of millions of rural families in Africa.

Fifteen years ago, David returned to the teaching staff at Stanford. He is a two-time recipient of the MsX Distinguished Teaching Award, and has been chosen to give a “Last Lecture” to the graduating class five times.

Most recently, David is the author of the Wall Street Journal Bestselling book, The Manager’s Handbook: a practical and hands-on discussion of the five critical skills every great leader needs to drive results.
